Christmas Letter!

Dear Family & Friends,

It hardly seems possible that I am penning another one of these funny letters to everyone, but it’s true. Another year come and gone and here we are in the rush to the holidaze! The Smalls have had quite a year; mostly ups, some downs, but always lots of love.

I am still working for the man as a computer scientist. The spring time & summer was very busy for me as I was managing 2 large projects. It has settled down some recently. Wendy has a full work-load of educational engineering and has had little respite, even though she now takes Campbell (4 on February 4th) to St.Tim’s Montessori Preschool thrice weekly. Campbell is really thriving there and Kira has enjoyed the time with Mommy all to herself. She turns two on the 21st!
We traveled quite a bit this year; mostly to Kansas to see the grands & greats, two trips to Tucson for the birthdays of our nephew & niece, Clayton & Chloe, with a trip to Colorado for Wendy and the girls to see their cousin Ava Rose, and for myself to DC to see my Dad after his surgery and attend my buddy Rick Chauncey’s (aka the last bachelor) wedding. Kansas trips included Christmas, Fourth of July, and sadly, the funeral for Harold Myers, Wendy’s Grand Dad. He is sorely missed by all of us.

We held a huge (well, not by Kansas measure) Thanksgiving dinner here for 23 hearty folks. It was Wendy’s side of the family and her sister-in-law Heather’s family as well. We celebrated the 1st birthday of our niece, Ava Rose the Saturday After Thanksgiving, so it seemed like one continuous party.

For all of you we wish a safe & happy holiday, and a great new year to come.

Love,
Dan, Wendy,
Campbell & Kira Small

Summer, Baseball & her first Dog

Guess I'm just wishing for warmer weather, and when I saw this pic tonight from back in June, itmade me miss the summer.

This was Campbell's first dog at an Albuquerque Isotopes Games. She was not impressed :) Posted by Picasa
